Swellex

Typical Technical Data
Anchoring of the Swellex bolt is provided by mechanical interlocking and frictional forces.  The standard Swellex bolt consists of 2mm thick, 41 mm diameter steel tube that is folded along its length to an external diameter of 26 mm.  Bushings are sealed welded onto each end of the bolt.  The collar bushing has a flange to hold the face plate.  Water is injected into the bolt through a hole in the collar bushing using a high pressure pump.  The standard inflation pressure is 30 MPa.
